A one-owner, 12,000-mile 2014 Ferrari 458 Italia in Argento Nurburgring sold on Bring a Trailer on October 9, 2026 for $355,000, in a month when most 458 Italias offered on the site did not sell at all.

This car spent its whole life with one owner, here in Pennsylvania, from new until we took it in this year. It is an Argento Nurburgring car over Nero leather and Alcantara, and it was ordered with the roughly $13,000 Carbon Fiber Racing Package: carbon-fiber racing seats, carbon interior trim, carbon-ceramic brakes. The 20-inch five-spoke wheels are the ones from the 458 Speciale. At 12,000 miles it is not a museum piece, but it is close.

What made this one easy to sell was the paper. The original window sticker, the owner’s manual, a stack of service records, two keys, the car cover, the battery tender and a clean Carfax all came with it. A Ferrari with its sticker and its records is a different car from the same Ferrari without them, and bidders know it.

Why we set the reserve where we did

458 Italia coupes have been a strange market this fall. Plenty get listed, and most of them don’t sell. Look at the comps below: in the five weeks before our auction, four Italias were bid into the $250,000–$395,000 range and went home unsold. The ones that did sell were either very low mileage (a 1,800-mile 2015 at $501,000, a 2,400-mile 2012 at $440,000) or priced to go.

So the reserve had to be honest. We set it at a number that reflected 12,000 miles, one owner and full documentation, not a 2,000-mile garage queen, and we held it. The listing went up with a full photo set, paint-meter readings in the gallery, the service history laid out, and a fresh brake-fluid flush done in September so nobody could point at a maintenance gap.

What the number means

$355,000 sits exactly where a 12,000-mile, well-optioned, documented Italia should: above the 9,000-mile 2012 that sold for $341,000 on September 24, well above the 2011 that brought $234,117, and below the sub-3,000-mile cars that cleared $440,000 and $501,000. Mileage is the first thing a 458 buyer looks at, and the price curve is steep between 2,000 and 10,000 miles.

The more telling comparison is the cars that didn’t sell. An 8,000-mile 2014 was bid to $358,005 on September 17 and the seller said no. A 4,400-mile 2015 was bid to $395,000 and went unsold. Those sellers were anchored to last year’s prices. Ours sold because the reserve matched the market we were actually in, not the one we wished we were in.

If you own one

The cars that bring top money on Bring a Trailer share three things: low miles, complete paperwork, and a listing that answers questions before they’re asked. If you have a 458 Italia, a Spider, or anything else you’ve been thinking about selling, we’ll tell you where it fits in the market and what we think it will bring. We’re a Bring a Trailer Local Partner and we handle everything from photography to the last comment.
