14,000 miles, Rosso over beige, $186,000: a fair number in a picky F430 market
Our 14,000-mile 2007 Ferrari F430 Spider sold on Bring a Trailer for $186,000. It's a good price for a good car in the most common color combination, and it says a lot about where F430s are right now.
Our 14,000-mile 2007 Ferrari F430 Spider sold on Bring a Trailer for $186,000. It’s a good price for a good car in the most common color combination, and it says a lot about where F430s are right now.
The car
Rosso Corsa over Beige Tradizione with red stitching, F1 gearbox, Daytona seats, Scuderia shields and a $243,410 window sticker. It had a clean Carfax and was fully sorted before it listed: more than $20,000 of work at Scuderia Performante in Downingtown, including new updated exhaust manifolds, a new F1 accumulator and potentiometer with a full bleed, front ball joints and bushings, a top bow repair and a battery. The clutch measured under 37% worn. Nothing was left for the next owner to discover.
The picky market
Red over tan is the classic F430 spec, and also the one buyers see most. That matters. The cars bringing big money right now are the ones with something rare: very low miles, a special color, or a gated manual. A 7,000-mile 2008 Spider brought $228,000 the day after ours. A six-speed Spider brought $600,000 in October. Those are the outliers.
Everything else is settling into a range. Well-kept F1 Spiders in the mid-teens of miles are landing between about $180,000 and $200,000. Higher-mileage cars are bringing less or not selling at all. Prices are still far above where these cars were a year ago, but the market has stopped paying anything for an ordinary car. It’s paying fairly for a good one.
The auction
6,648 views, 976 watchers, 28 comments and 61 bids. Bidding started in the $80,000s and the last hour took it from $140,000 to $186,000, with four bidders still pushing in the final minutes. The auction closed on Wednesday, November 4 at $186,000.

$186,000Sold November 4, 2026 · Bring a Trailer lot #272344What the number means
$186,000 sits right in line with the two 17,000-mile 2007 Spiders that sold for $180,000 and $185,000 in September, and below the 10k- and 11k-mile cars that brought $200,000. Miles and spec are setting the order. A sorted, documented car with nothing to apologize for gets its number.

Collectors are spending. They're just picky.
The collector car market is still strong. Last week proved it, and it also proved that the buyers writing the biggest checks only want the best of the best. Putting a car in an auction doesn't mean it's going to set a record.

A week before our 1,000-mile 2023 Ferrari Roma sold on Bring a Trailer for $212,500, a newer 2024 Roma in the same Rosso Fiorano paint was bid to $187,500 and went home unsold. The difference came down to the things a buyer at this level pays for.
