Our shop truck finds a new home: a Model A pickup at no reserve, $19,251
The 1930 Ford Model A pickup that spent the past year as our shop truck sold at no reserve on Bring a Trailer on October 13, 2026 for $19,251, near the top of what closed-cab Model A pickups have been bringing.
Not every car we sell is a Ferrari. This Model A came to us in 2025 after a nine-year refurbishment by its previous owner in Maine, who bought it as a project in 2011 and worked through it a system at a time: brakes rebuilt in 2015, wire wheels refinished in 2017, rear glass and wiring in 2012. It runs a 201-cubic-inch L-head four with a three-speed, in cream over black fiberglass fenders, with a wood-slat bed and side rails, cowl lamps, a side-mount spare and a Boyce MotoMeter on the radiator.
We used it as the shop truck for a year. It started every time, it drew a crowd at every cars and coffee, and it was time for someone else to enjoy it.
Why we went no reserve
Model A pickups are a well-understood market on Bring a Trailer: closed-cab trucks land in the teens, nicer ones push toward $20,000, and roadster pickups go higher. There is no reserve to set that the bidders don’t already know. We photographed it honestly, pointed out the scratches in the gallery, listed everything that had been done and when, and let it run.

Result
$19,251Sold October 13, 2026 · No reserve · Bring a Trailer lot #268303What the number means
In the month before ours, three closed-cab Model A pickups sold on the site for $10,500, $16,250 and $18,001, and a roadster pickup brought $27,000. At $19,251 ours was the best closed-cab result of the four, which is what a sorted, documented, ready-to-drive truck should do.
The lesson is the same one we see at every price level. A $19,000 truck and a $355,000 Ferrari sell on the same things: a clear history, good photographs, and a listing that does not leave bidders guessing.
If you own one
The cars that bring top money on Bring a Trailer share three things: low miles, complete paperwork, and a listing that answers questions before they’re asked. If you have a prewar Ford or anything else you’ve been thinking about selling, we’ll tell you where it fits in the market and what we think it will bring. We’re a Bring a Trailer Local Partner and we handle everything from photography to the last comment.
