Reimel Motor Cars is proud to offer a 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 with only 109,647 Kilometers (68,131 Miles) and a Manual transmission finished in Brilliant Black Metallic over Naturorange leather interior.
The 911 Carrera 3.2 presented here is one of two similar cars produced in conjunction with Porsche's design studio under the leadership of Tony Lapine. These unique 911s received experimental multi-stage finishes; this particular example was painted Brilliant Black Metallic, a special color with a subtle orange highlight. Both cars were also outfitted with distinctive interiors, featuring leather-trimmed parts and color-coordinated velour carpeting throughout. To match the exterior, this Carrera was upholstered in rich, elegant Naturorange (Natural Orange) leather. Additional factory equipment included Turbo wheels, Recaro sport seats, a rear spoiler, limited-slip differential, sunroof, Blaupunkt radio, and air-conditioning.
Built early in the Carrera's production run, these factory-customized 911s were retained by Porsche and used as company cars for a year. It is believed that a design studio employee drove this particular Carrera, while its sister car was given to Porsche CEO Peter Schutz's executive assistant.
The Brilliant Black Metallic Carrera was later discovered in Sweden and purchased by Dr. Georg Konradsheim, co-author of the book Carrera RS. After a short period, he sold it to a Texas-based Porsche collector. Today, the Carrera remains in original, unrestored condition, with less than 110,000 km (~68,000 miles) on the odometer.
The Carrera retains its distinctive orange-tinted metallic paint finish as well as its original leather upholstery, option sticker, date-coded components, and rare factory equipment. A technical inspection, carried out by an authorized Porsche Classic partner, confirmed that this 911 retains its matching-numbers engine and transaxle. The car further benefits from a recent major service and detailing.
Accompanied by its original owner's manual, warranty book, tool kit, and Porsche Classic Technical Certificate, this singular 911 is among the most exciting, important, and unique examples of the Carrera 3.2 to be found anywhere.
