We at Reimel Motorcars are thrilled to introduce the 1966 Austin-Healey 3000 MK III. It is finished in Healey Blue and features a blue interior and matching convertible top.
This Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III was manufactured from November 17 to 19, 1965. A left-hand-drive model, it was destined for the North American market and was originally finished in a striking Healey Blue, complemented by a blue interior and a matching convertible top. Factory features included wire wheels, a heater, an adjustable steering column, a blue tonneau cover, whitewall tires, a laminated windscreen, and overdrive. The car was shipped to the United States on December 3, 1965, with a destination of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Today, the car presents beautifully, having undergone a frame-off rotisserie restoration by Healey specialist Lynn Cline. It was refinished in its original Healey Blue and fitted with a blue convertible top, just as it was when it left the factory. The exterior also boasts dual Talbot-style side-view mirrors. During the restoration, the straight six-cylinder engine was professionally rebuilt by Medina Motor Sport. This engine is paired with a four-speed manual transmission featuring electronic overdrive. The Mark III is equipped with disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the rear, riding on Firestone F-560 radial tires mounted on chrome knock-off wire wheels, with a full-size spare located in the trunk.
The restoration has aged gracefully, and Overall, the car is in excellent condition and very presentable.
Inside, the car features the correct blue leather upholstery, creating a luxurious cockpit highlighted by a Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel and a beautifully crafted burlwood dash that houses Smiths instrumentation. There are two additional seats in the back, suitable for smaller passengers, perfect for children. Seat belts for all four passengers ensure a safe ride. Weather protection is provided by roll-up windows and a blue convertible top. When the top is down, a tonneau cover can be used, enhancing the car's sporty appearance.
